Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (securely hashed). We do not store passwords in plain text.

Social Media Data

When you connect social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), we access data through their official APIs using OAuth authorization you grant. This includes:

  • Page/account profile information (name, profile picture, follower count)
  • Post performance metrics (impressions, reach, engagement, views)
  • Post content metadata (captions, media type, publish date)
  • Audience demographic data (where available and permitted by the platform)

We only access data you explicitly authorize through the platform's OAuth consent screen. We do not access private messages, personal timelines, or data beyond the requested scopes.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage data such as pages visited, features used, and error logs to improve our service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide analytics dashboards and performance reports for your connected social media accounts
  • To generate AI-powered insights and recommendations using anonymized performance data
  • To enable report sharing via shareable links you create
  • To manage your account, process subscriptions, and provide customer support
  • To improve and maintain our platform

4. AI Analysis

Our AI analysis features send aggregated, non-personally-identifiable performance metrics (such as engagement rates, post counts, and content types) to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. We do not send personal information, private messages, or raw user data to AI services.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data in these limited circumstances:

  • Shared Reports: When you create a shareable report link, the report data (analytics metrics and AI insights) becomes accessible to anyone with the link. No personal account information is included in shared reports.
  • Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google Cloud) for authentication, database, and hosting. Data is processed in accordance with Google Cloud's data processing terms.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Firebase Authentication for secure access control
  • Firestore security rules restricting data access to authorized users
  • OAuth tokens stored securely and never exposed to the client browser

7. Third-Party Platform Data

Data obtained from Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok is subject to each platform's terms of service and data policies. We access this data solely for the purpose of providing analytics services to you. You may revoke access at any time through your social media account settings or through the AdscendiX account page.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Social media analytics data is cached temporarily to provide dashboard functionality. Shared report snapshots are retained until deleted. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Disconnect social media accounts at any time
  • Export your data

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication and user preferences (e.g., selected brand, date range). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
